Ok make sure you do this.
In this order.
Don't skip or modify anything thinking it won't matter. (!)
1) Run the boot cd (make sure alfa is UNPLUGGED)
2) Login
3) Open terminal window
4) Change to the rt8187xxxxxxxxxxxx directory
5) run: sh wlan0up
6) Plug in the alfa
7) Wait 20secs
8) Run: sh wlan0up
9) Start the device with: airmon-ng start wlan0
10) try to athenticate with: aireplay-ng
