I have it installed fine on my hp 530 laptop dual boot with xp everything works.
:D Thanks BT3 TEAM :D
I used the built in installer but had to go back in to edit lilo.conf after reboot as it would not let me do lilo -v during install.

first off thank you....
yes i downloaded the CD ISO and burnt it no errors everything checked out
im able to run it as a live-CD with no issues im running it live right now on a Acer1400
ive followed both GUI Tutorials and The Hard Drive Tutorial in The Wiki
it goes through the install it takes about 20 mins to install
with no errors and lags at the parts it always did like in BT2 at 41% and 81%
then when i goto reboot all i get is a flashing prompt sign nothing else (no errors or anything show up)
also im not dual-booting or anything it will be the only OS on the system if that helps

The problem with this is that you never copied any thing to sda 2. Why did you make a boot partition for no reason?
yir zero - I belive the problem you may be having is I noticed at the bottom of the new gui installer it has a little box to restore the previous mbr. If this is the only OS on a clean computer you DO NOT want that box checked.
Das pirates the reason you couldnt run lilo is because you were trying to run it off the disk. you must first chroot into your new install before running the command.

I know that feeling, done that myself more times than I care to remember adding additional packages. No one told me you arnt supposed to update and upgrade every package under linux, so like a complete lemon that's what I did, it took me a week to figure out what I was doing wrong. LOL
Rock solid once you get it all tweaked and running though!:p
