ok , afther a long long wait at the hp customer service chat I finally think i found out what network card my computer is using.

or yeah , what brand and type.... for they told me i only have wireless interface but i'm quite sure i've connected it tru the wired interface but they could at least giv me a brand name...

It would be a Gemtek 802.11 b/g with both a wired and a wireless interface.

I tried installing the drivers myself but they won't compile for it says there is no kernel source present...

Hope they will be in the next bt3 update :)

LOL

Wanna fix your issues?? Download this>>

http://www.offensive-security.com/modules/kernel.lzm

Its the bt3 kernel sources.

Now put that file in your /root or "Home" directory, and run the following command.>>>

lzm2dir kernel.lzm /

thats it. You have just successfully installed your BT3 Kernel sources. See that wasn't so hard now was it?? ;)

Now, reinstall your wireless cards Linux driver, and I bet you you won't get that error again

Enjoy your now working wireless interface.

I know , just didnt really try , I'm a spoiled ubuntu baby and have something against installing drivers for it always works out bad for me.....

But thanx for the info , I'll try it out first thing in the morning....
