I'm having same problem. The card is not supported (at this time).
Wiki for BT3 indicates that this card is not supported, even though in a typical Linux distro it may be compiled into the kernel for general use. Problems are more likely related to firmware and the downgrading of them. I know from experience it was already a pain just to get it working correctly in XP without it causing it to freeze up.

As you can see, works in Linux but won't do what you probably want. It's also 11b so blah.
If you want, get the tar from Cisco.com and monkey around with it. It was a pain just to get the Win32 installation.

I sorta remember having this card working at one time or another, maybe in Auditor (before BT1) but it didn't do much but sit there. Honestly, you're better off using Windows for this card and with Ferrett or whatever other products they have out there... Sad too since I spent 50 bucks on mine back in the day.
