Hi at all experts,

I don't know what name I could give my special topic.
But I'm trying to explain what I mean.

I live somewhere in a very small village. So there is now High Speed Intenet. Poniting it out I there is no chance to plug your cable into the wall an get your connection.

In spite of this, some people of our village (and my too) have a long distance Wlan of another city. I can't give the translation for this. ( The dictionary tells me: beam radio, point-to-point radio system , radio link system)

This is the way i get my 1Mbit connection. Sometimes more or less. It depends on how many clients are connected.

The point is, that my own Router is switched behind a few other routers. 4 or 5. I could look it up.
And that is the problem. When I try to connect from outside my connection, from somewhere at the world, to my own router via DynDNS, it is not possible. It is only possible to get to the first router. I could only connecget access to the WAN router, which has the IP we all get.
Therefore I want to connect to my own Router via SSH and I want to get the Webinterface of my Router. I would like to configure the routere from anywhere so that I could help my brother when I'm away.
Another point is that I would like to access my external hard drive via ssh or VPN. And that is damn pain in the neck for me. Just because I'm living behind the moon souldn't mean that modern technics are keeped back from me. Just depressiv.

I would be pleased if you help me! all routersmodels are linksys wrt54g or wrt54gs. I read something up about portforwarding, but it is not crystal clear to me. besides I have access to all routers.

I tought about a script or something like this which i could load at the first router and than when an application gets to a specific port it sould be routed to my own router at/to/in the LAN. Is it right that ever router between mine and the first has to be set up?

Thanks to everyone trying to puzzle over my topic and english

Does this look like what you're describing?

Your Computer <---> Your Router <---> SE Router <---> SE Router <---> Local Radio Link <---> Distant Radio Link <---> Internet Connection

You would need to know if the 'SE Routers' (Somebody Else's) are running NAT or not. If they are, chances are, what you want to do, if you could get it to work, wouldn't be stable.

Yes, this is how the network is set up

I just looked up one router and it seems like NAT is disabled because the PPTP Client has no entrys

I don't know why you'd think that NAT is disabled because of PPTP.

If the Routers have their default firmware on them, there should be a setting for NAT.

They all have the dd-wrt firmware on them.

But how can I find you if the have NAT enabled?
