Anybody use EnCase at the moment?
I'm trying to get a rough idea of the cost. It's not listed on their site anywhere that I can see. I know I could just email them for a quote, and I will eventually, I'm just trying to work up some quick and dirty figures as the moment.
Thanks :)

It's been a quite a while (5+ years) since I looked into it, but I think it's between $3000 and $5000, depending on the package.
Edit: According to this article in SC Magazine, it was $3000 in July, 2006.

If you're not into spending the big bucks for EnCase, try using this custom Knoppix distro called Helix (http://www.e-fense.com/helix).
Here's a short right up on it from Network World (http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/27945?page=0%2C2&zb=&rc=sec).

Thanks for that.
I've been using some of the Open Source forensics tools for a while, was specifically wanting to try encase.
