Simply put:
My LAN is composed of:
One wireless router
One desktop - hardwire connection to router
One laptop XP SP2 - wireless connection
One laptop BT3 - wireless connection

Bug:
laptop XP SP2 is able to ping every device on LAN
laptop BT3 is able to ping everyone EXECEPT my laptop XP SP2 :mad:

I run Auto Scan from BT3 and it sees everyone. So I assume this is a Konsole bug since some times (rarely) I'm able to ping the laptop XP SP2

Anyone got the same problem???
Please help! I'm doing BOF and without the console it's kind of difficult.

Are you certain that you have not applied some rule either on your XP box or on the router that prevents the machine from answering on ping queries?

Well I cant be sure... but it has answered before to ping requests and I was able to send it bufferes...
But sometimes it just doesn't seem to comunicate via konsole.:mad:

Tell me something, does your ideia have anything to do with ICMP Internet Control Message Protocol?

Do I have to check options like:

allow incoming echo request
allow incoming timestamp request
allow incoming mask request
allow incoming router request
.
.
.

If so I most admite they are all unchecked, but I haven't touched a thing... :(:( allthough i'll give it a try)

Damm Windows :):):)

allow incoming echo request

Yup, this is something that you need to have checked to enable ping responses ;) I believe that Windows Firewall by default leaves this one unchecked.
