gpsmap issue

gpsmap generates a segmentation fault when attempting to label networks. it works fine without the labels.

I'm just now running across this problem and I would like to figure out how to resolve it. In my troubleshooting it looks like it can't find the courier font. I say this because if you don't use the "-l" switch but use the "-k" switch the image creation finishes but there is no key and you get an error that states:

stringwidth... unable to read font `courier' (null)
gpsmap: unable to read font `courier'.

Any ideas on how to change the config file of gpsmap (or whatever child process that is creating the error) to look for another font or how to add this font to address this error?
