Just started to mess with 2.0 final and it doesn't seem to have that useful start-gpsd-daemon script that was in v1.0. I get my USB GPS device installed and tested successsfully with this command "stty -F /dev/tts/USB0 4800; cat /dev/tts/USB0"

I looked at the man pages for GPSD and figured that this command should get it started:

gpsd -F /dev/tts/USB0

and doing a ps -ef | grep gpsd shows it running but when I start Kismet, it fails to properly initialize the connection to the GPS device. Am I missing a parameter from my GPSD command? Maybe I didn't look closely enough at the various menus and a start GPSD launcher is there somewhere? Thanks in advance for the help.

When I have tried Kismet I needed to get the good quality signal
to get it work that means 3D FIX , or at least 2D FIX - outside the building
other applications could use almost any data.
So even when everything was ok I used to check my bluetooth GPS first with the handheld or Windows apps.
In BT you can check it running gpsdrive or airodump-ng
$gpsd - checks if it is running
$gpsd -p /dev/rfcomm0 -started my connection (rfcomm -as it is bluetooth)
$gpsd - F /dev/* is enough
but you have to repeat it before every kismet start

Upgrade gpsd to 2.34 version & downgrade kismet to older version. (that's work for me)
~
cmd: gpsd /dev/tts/USB0
