I've just got a GPS unit "Haicom GPS HI-204E" and it works great with gpsd (current svn version). I want to use this to map out Kismet gps points in gpsdrive.

I loaded up gpsdrive and downloaded a map of Victoria, Australia and it's terrible. Is there a way to get better maps of this region? All this gives me is major town names, no roads or anything like that.

Has anyone else got this problem?

It works well for Germany, but I don't live there.

I have not had luck with GPSDrive (never could get it working with my GPS device so I gave up on it). I use a program called KNSGEM and take the 5 files Kismet outputs and run them through KNSGEM. Then it uses Google Maps to plot the stuff out for you. It works awesome with the only thing I miss from the GPSMap days is that I can't plot the track traveled like I could in GPSMap. This stuff is out on the Internet.
