Hi,

Just got a Netgear MA111. Anyone got any idea on using it in BT 2.0 LiveCD?

I've plugged it in and it comes up when I type lsusb in terminal.

The USB wireless dongle is Netgear MA111 v1 so it should work.

Anyone got any drivers or modules. Step by Step instructions?

When typing iwconfig, the netgear doesn't come up.

Any help would be good.

Thanks,

Saf

yes you've got the good one
v1 is based on prism chipset unlike v2 based on sis162

so normally your v1 will work with wlan-ng driver

I've checked the wiki.

Wlan-ng was taken out of BT2 Final. (Don't know why?!?!?!?)

They recommend using HOSTAP drivers but that doesnt work either.

Any ideas?

Any one know how to put wlan-ng back into BT2 Final?

I read that the MA111 does work in the beta of BT2 but i cant download the beta. All the mirrors don't host the file !!!!

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

maybe the best thing will be to make a module with this driver for easy install

will think of it

ftp://ftp.linux-wlan.org/pub/linux-wlan-ng/README >>> read this to build it well

or if you want beta
