AdHoc Network from anyone

Few days ago i try backtrack and scan for networks.
I found a network which have Mac Filtering and Wep 128Bit on.
After i found the wep key i connect to the network, but i connect
with the ad-hoc mode.

I connect with a mac from a client, during i am surfing the other client can't access the internet right?
And what means Ad Hoc ?
