oh so when i searched on how to crack md5 hash it led me to this site in the first place? i didnt say i wanted to do anything illegal i could be trying to crack my own password for the practice. the video tutorial i saw from this website did examples based on the login html of this site??

There is a big difference between saying 'I would like to crack my own forum password on my own test forum' than what you said in your very first post. Cracking MD5 hashes can be done with permission and a get-out-of-jail-free letter from whoever owns the hashes, in order to test password strenght and policies. Don't expect anyone here to teach you how to break into forums or 'etc..'.

yeah, that wasnt my intent at all.. I came from doing some of those hacker quizes on hackr.org maybe? I cant remember the site.. I probably should have worded my previous question differently. I've taken c++ and html classes and since then I've been kind of curious about this side of it all.
