1. I just moved into my new house and there is a open WIFI connection really close to me. Not free just open. I did a NMAP on the routers IP address and it shows it it a netgear wireless router. How safe would it be for me to check like my online bank and email and all that shit without it getting sniffed? Is it super easy for somebody running a open WIFI network to sniff my traffic or what would happen in that situation? I know a bit about security just not really in that department you know? ... on to question 2.

2. If I was to try to crack into that router what port does it run on? is it 80? and what program would work at cracking a wireless netgear router. I don't need the WEP key I need to actually crack into that router to make sure my shit isn't getting logged. Also I tried Hydra but it didn't seem to work. I am using BT2.
Thanks alot.
