Yes.....after Xploitz , its my turn.........i found my dream........i receive a letter today.........
in March 2008, i will begin a study cycle in order to prepare a Software Developer Diploma wich will give me the title of : Software Developer Engineer for Information Systems wich is a high graduate diploma in france for developers.........i can expect maybe a treatment of 1700/2000 Euros........but it's a long cycle .... 3 years.......+ near 1 year in a software developing commercial society............
im just too happy......
if anyone have advice in advanced programming books (im french but i read technical English really well), i really need one on SGBD + one on C++ ....... not for beginners ......

Well, may I be one of the first to congratulate you and to wish you all success.
You have already demonstrated that you are quite capable and with dedicated study you will be a Master.
I expect you will find that a 'Reading List' is published by your faculty which will contain desirable texts. Apart from that, I know that O'Reilly publish fine texts.

Tell me about it. I got off easy, skipped college, worked a dead-end starter network admin/helpdesk job, now I have a good job, but man am I paying for it, currently studying for the SANS/GIAC GSEC. My next projects are CCNP and CCSPFA, and if I hang out here long enough, maybe CISSP...

Congrats on your newly achieved title,
Im a lowly B.S. IEET engineer

I highly recommend C++ Programming 2nd,3rd editions by: D.S. Malik
Its well written with great examples...sorry its not a digi-book or I would post it 4 ya.
Let me know if there is a topic of particular interest and I'll see if the author covers it!
Im only halfway through the 1300 pages of the 2nd edition...good stuff!
Well done shamanvirtuel...my hat is off!!!
