Post Metagoofil

Running Metagoofil...
So, you opened it, by the KDE menu. Then, it opens the terminal window, where the text says "Example: metagoofil.py -d microsoft.com......etc".
Ok, let's try it.
When you type "metagoofil.py -d microsoft.com....etc", you have the logical response: "bash: metagoofil.py: command not found".
Ok, let's try it launching python... "python metagoofil.py.....etc".
Oh, oh, surprise, there is the same text just like when you start the application! I mean, there's no way to do something with metagoofil...?¿?

No that just means you are in the wrong directory or that the application is not in your path. BTW mine works just fine.
Open the menu editor and ensure the following command is in place.
Code:
 sh -c "python metagoofil.py;sudo -s"
Work path is at:
Code:
/pentest/enumeration/google/metagoofil
And run in terminal is checked.
If the above is the case then try opening a shell and cd'ing to the directory above and then running python metagoofil.py and let me know what
happens.

I'm having a problem with metagoofil too.

I'm in the directory /pentest/enumeration/google/metagoofil

./metagoofil -d site.whatever -f all -l 5 -o info.html -t /root

After sitting for about a minute, this is output:
Code:

I picked through it but I don't know python and it seems to be an error with importing resources. Running this off bt4 pre-final livecd.

Dont want to dig up old threads.. (too much)

But was there any solution found to the metagoofil issue ?

I tried a few variations, however also seem to be getting similar error msgs..

edit
----
Using BF4 Pre Final, VMware version, updated to latest kernel, updated and upgraded.

Error report seems to wait until anything else is trying to start up (ie using the mouse to open up menues etc)
