Default backtrack 4 and sabayon dual boot network problem

hi! i am not sure if this is a bug but after partitioning my acer aspire one to both have backtrack 4 and sabayon, I can find no networks on backtrack when I scan with wicd. The weird thing is that sometimes it just works but most of the times this error occurs. On sabayon network works just fine. Any idea why is that happening? thank you

Did you try it from the command line to connect to a network?

There is more to it than that.

well i have run kismet and airodump-ng and i still can not find any networks. so the problem is not that i just can not connect. i can not detect any networks. i really can not think of anything else that would help. maybe the last thing i can think of is the button that enables wireless. on acer aspire one i know that i have to reboot to enable/disable wifi. i have done that 3 or 4 times and i can not say that i noticed any difference. but it is broken on my pc so it does not always work so maybe i should try again. i ll keep you posted unless someone comes with a better idea.

thanks
