Best of luck chmod. (You'll need it.)

Haha... this is soo similar to my first post here. Apparently then people couldn't handle that I asked... two questions in one post and a whole bunch of other ridiculous stuff that made no sense. Anyway, there are some here on this forum, and not just the people who posted in this thread, who really need to think a bit longer before they post stuff. Try and be considerate to others, and loose the "better than thou" attitude. That is why I honestly don't come on here all that often. What a lot of you guys do for a living, a lot of us want to end up doing for a living. Why not try and actually be helpful and teach instead of insulting people and getting angry over nothing. Everyone on here needs to keep their anger elsewhere. If you had a bad day or something got you pissed off not related to this place and then you come here and take it out on people asking honest questions, don't even bother trying to help. It just leads to this junk.

We are helpful.
I started from scratch and have found out everything by myself, and while still learning I haven't been in the situation where I needed to post a question. There are thousands of posts on everything on the forum and other sources on the net. With proper search you'll realize that the knowledge is here for you to take.
We are not here to teach (there are institutions for that).
The prerequisite for using BT is basic linux knowhow - installation, grub, partition management, filesystem, nic configuration ..... the list goes on. And again all mentioned is available on the forums.
Not angry but annoyed.
Because of the tendency of newbies asking questions first, thinking for themselves/searching for themselves/trying for themselves later. And the result of this is - more newbies go along and do the same thing, seniors are wasting their time, forum gets more crowded with posts and threads with no real info - making it harder for everyone to search, no one learns anything just a couple individuals get their stuff working.
For the newbies.
I know that there's a bunch of you that do take advice seniors give you (I have an occasional honor to meet some of you). I salut you and encourage you to continue with your efforts. I have been and still am on the same path. Knowledge is power so be mindful of the way you acquire it.

I am going to appologize, I didn't read your last post #mfBaranian#, but I did read a few of your older posts in other threads. You were helpful in those. I was not talking about you only though. There is obviously something going on here. This isn't the first time people have got upset over what amounts to nothing. We, myself included, have at some point all had really short fuses. I don't get it. Still, I apologize for myself jumping to a conclusion before I had all the info. I have been on the other end though. I made a post in the newb forum and I got attacked right away. I didn't know what the heck had happened, but apparently at the time I was posting my life story and the person couldn't handle that I asked two questions in one post. I thought that the response (and still do) I got back then was completely uncalled for and down right childish. It happened again here, someone asked something, and for some reason someone didn't like it. So they attacked right away and didn't even try to be courtious about it. There are better ways to respond to a post than just saying "your and idiot" or "why the hell did you ask that, your stupid". If you really think someone is that dumb, at least give them the benefit of doubt and point them in the right direction. Putting them down and criticizing a post because it doesn't fit perfectly into the accepted norms here is the wrong way to handle something. Isn't that what moderators are for? It is their responsibility to direct people to the rules of the forum if they do not follow them and even point them in the right direction with "gentile" prods and suggestions on what to do next time. If someone gets out of hand, then they should act accordingly and ban them, lol . Anyway, this stuff really needs to stop here and we all need to start acting like adults (those of us who actually are) and professionals.

To give a response to the OP, there was an episode recently on hak5 in which
the process of creating a multiboot USB drive is discussed in detail.

It works well, and although I am sure there may be more refined ways of doing it, it did the job perfectly for me.
