Default Sister Messing up Linux

Leave it to her to manage to somehow **** up my linux laptop. A few days after she gets ahold of it I log into my nix shell and type start x then I am greeted with "Unable to access .ICEAUTHORITY"..something along those lines anyways. So I of course use Google and find out that you must do the following:

Chown 777 .ICEAUTHORITY
then if that doesn't work you do a rm -f .ICEauthority.

However when I did both of these steps the GUI comes up partly, and I am then greeted with " There was a error setting up inter-process communications for KDE. The message returned by thte system was : Could not read network connection list/home/user/DCOPserver_user-laptop__0. Please chat that the dcopserver program is running.

I'm not going to lie this is really pissing me off. I'm very tempted to fire up ettercap and either monitor what she is doing to screw me, and or creating a filter that will DDOS my laptop that she uses for any sites that I deem inappropriate. I'm so frusterated with this right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that all the files in your home directory are all owned by your user and that the permissions are appropriate (make sure that you can read and write to them all).

Then keep your laptop away from your sister and don't be tempted to launch any computer based attacks at her...

Is this your nix box or BT? If it's BT just reinstall it? It's so easy a caveman can do it. Just fire up the install script.
