Default Bringing Up eth0???

I am feeling mighty dumb right now.

When I try: ifconfig eth0 up
I am getting permission denied.

I tried the password I assigned to me as user as well as toor with no luck!

Help!!!

Did you try "sudo su"-ing?
Then, ifconfig eth0 up?

Or, even just logging into root and going from there?

Lastly, tried "sudo ifconfig eth0 up"?

Yea, thanks. I was doing "su" rather than sudo....

Works now.

I should add that I'm running VMware with BT4-pre-final as a VM...

Lol you might get banned or have your post put in the idiots center but I'll help

First of all run

Code:
sudo ifconfig eth0 up
Second of all if your running it off a live cd then you are already running as root and don't need to sudo anything.

Third of all if it's installed on your hard drive the password is your login password not toor..
