some airpwn questions *bit of a task to get wificard in proper mode

when i use airpwn i normally go into the order

open network manager for rausb0 (light must blink)
iwconfig rausb0 mode monitor
airodump-ng -c 11 rausb0
run airpwn

sometimes it works by just doing
ifconfig rausb0 up
iwconfig rausb0 mode monitor
airodump-ng -c 11 rausb0 <- im guessing just to get the wificard on the channel i want
airpwn


is there a better way to do all this? sometimes it seems the wificard doesn't allow broadcasting (i thought in monitor mode it shouldnt be capable of broadcasting)


im doing demo at my college and they have subnets for each wireless client.. so mitm doesnt work
