bluebdi,

Not sure where you are in the process. Do you have "BUC" on your menu? If not, after you do an apt-get install, you need to also go to the Italian site to download and install "Manager. mc" which works in conjunction with BUC.

could be.....

I am in Ubuntu 9.04 with 3rd source BT4 repositories on the laptop I used to test gerix and had to use the process I described.

Effective cracking program, though, after completing the process. Then, on my applications menu under "Other" I ended up with two menu items: BUC and "Manager. mc"

But, would love to have get-rix-wifi on my menu and in English if possible. BUC is in Italiano.

ok well since this is a backtrack forum and we do not support using our repo with other ubuntu versions could you please keep any advice or instructions related to backtrack only. You will only confuse people. The tool works fine and is in english in backtrack pre final. I just checked.

will do.

Interesting, funny, and yes....confusing. Ending up with a nice effective Italian GUI wep crack with the BT4 apt-get install repository.

ok....will stick with BT4 based observations/recommendations/suggestions only

I've one problem. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and if I try "apt-get install gerix-wifi-cracker", I'm getting an error.

There is the issue, you are trying to use something Backtrack related in a different distro. That won't work.
