how to configure networkconnections in backtrack2

i have 2 wireless card, 1 is netgear wn511b, the other is build in Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945BG Network Connection Adapter

I would like to know how to detect either of those 2 wireless card

1 more thing, is it necessary to crack wep by external wireless card or i can use my intel wireless card that supported linux to crack,
