netdiscover and ipw2100? Known bugs?

Hello.
Somehow I cannot use netdiscover on my laptop from dell, having the ipw2100 driver and the corresponding interface.
I can use airodump, airmon, but not netdiscover.
Seems as if he tells me:

lib_net: eth0 is down.

Why?


Does anyone know anything about that?

Also wireshark does tell me: Wrong elf header in libnet.so.13 if I remember correctly.

Having copied the files from my live version to my installed one, seemed to start it but I cannot choose my interface.

Would be glad if someone could bring light into the dark.

Most likely because you are attempting to use netdiscover on the interface eth0 which is down. Netdiscover can only be used when you are actually connected in managed mode, and not just listening with your interface in monitor mode as with airodump-ng.
