I don't think that install tutorial covers aircrack-ptw installation.
EDIT: the command ./aircrack-ptw-1.0.0 does work? Weird! I don't understand this, how can I make it so it works normally in any folder by just typing aircr and hitting tab? Last edited by scottylans; 05-03-2007 at 12:10 AM. |

I tell you my installation:
1) I extract aircrack-ptw under Windows (correcting the make file -lpcap) 2) I put it on my usb key, and boot on (live CD) under BT2 3) I look foward to the usb key and Copy/Past the folder aircrack-ptw in Pentest/wireless/ 4) open shell and go to the folder cd....etc...cd aircrack-ptw ....(and) make file of course you know this capture must be in .cap .....once you have 40.000 arp copy this file into aircrack-ptw and launch it good luck |

Ok I got my answer.
My lack of linux knowledge! I had compiled it properly but Ubuntu doesn't execute an application EVEN IF YOU'RE IN THE SAME FOLDER AS IT unless it's in the path, otherwise put ./ in front! Weird, seems illogical to me Info here. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=429329 |

This is linux.
If you want a program or a script to execute form any place put it in /bin or /usr/bin folder. If you run it from the present directory use './'. The rules haven't change since the beginning of the universe. |
