There are many variants of this type of adapter, first off check the label on the back and does it say speedbooster on the front?
>The wusb54gc is compatible with BT >The wusb54gsc is the speedbooster version and is not compatible. >The wusb54g is not compatible. I say this as many companies will restock with another variant, not change the order page on their website and will send you a different version when you place an order. Your adapter should be recognised as rausb0 although you will need the advanced drivers to use the aircrack suite. |

Are you using a live cd or vmware image? On VMWARE you have to import your card into the VM (eg I use VMWARE workstation I go to the vm menu, select removable devices and select my adapter from the list) it has to be connected to a VM in this way before BT4 will recognise that it exists.

HCL:Wireless - Offensive-security.com BTW: Search next time a little more. Input the proper name of your equipment when making a post, and don't thread hijack.

I'm also using the same USB stick, I havn't had any luck in finding a way to get it working. It worked when I ran the system on the live cd. But not when it's fully installed. I have discovered that it is a 'rt73' chipset. Bit stuck though
