Hello,

When running db_nmap I manage to identify some OS but it seems like the identification doesn't always show up in the DB (SQLite3/default) when running db_hosts command.
But sometimes it does... for example when running the smb version scanner (and the scanner finds anything related), then it shows up but not with db_nmap. For example: One of the hosts found while running db_nmap -sSV -O (Syn-scan, version-scan and OS detection) is a Linux 2.6.x which is correct, but it doesn't show up in the database. Is that because it doesn't know the exact version? In my opionion it would be better to write 2.6.x than nothing. Or is the db_nmap behaving false?

I'm running bt4-pre-final as a VM using VMware WS 7 RC. My host is Windows 7 64 bit.

Installing BT as a VM went ok as long as I had a good copy of the iso.

What I did was:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

It downloaded about 94meg and the update was moving right along when I got this:

Processing triggers for lib6c...
ldconfig deferred processing now taking place
Processing triggers for menu...
Errors were encountered while processing:
postgresql-8.3
postgresql
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

And it stopped.

Did everything that was downloaded get installed?

Thanks,

Ray

Hi all
I launch Dradis server and it starts fine.
I launch the client and I get this weird error message:

root@BT4:/pentest/misc/dradis-2.4/client# ruby dradis.rb
event(s) registered: [:exception]
Registered observers:
{:exception=>[#<Core::Exceptions::Ui::Console::CLI:0xb797d0bc @controller=#<Core::Controller:0xb797d01c @observers={...}, @view=#<Core::Exceptions::Ui::Console::CLI:0xb797d 0bc ...>>, @io=#<IRB::ReadlineInputMethod:0xb797d0a8 @file_name="(line)", @line=[], @line_no=0, @eof=false, @prompt="dradis> ">>]}
dradis>

Now the client seems to work fine but can anyone tell me what the above cryptic error message means? I tried googling it with no luck.
