Fail to bruce force WPA2 anyone help

I tried to bruce force WPA handshake by aircrack-ng
and Big size of dictionaries. 986 mb.. I opened a computer to run that for a couple of day. It's still cannot find passphases. what should I do...pls give me any advice..

Or pls download this WPA2 handshake pls kindly take a look

BT4 wont recognize my wireless card....

Okay so bt4 isnt recognizing my antheros wireless card(when installed onto HD)
do I need some sort of drivers or something to get this working?

and when I connect via ethernet, i still dont get an internet connection

Hello all..I have not used backtrack in a while since bt3 did not work on my laptop. I just downloaded bt4 and it works, but I'm having trouble with the wireless card. I read that networking is disabled and i ran the command at wiki and couldnt find anything. this is the internal card I have is an Atheros ar5007eg card...any help is greatly appreciated..thanks

Im getting stuck trying to boot BT4, ive extracted the dvd iso to my C:\ and load it using grub4dos.

I'm manage to crack wep but when i want to crack the ap with essid contain "space" the aireplay-ng state that my command is wrong. the command as below

aireplay-ng -1 0 -e John Wifi -a 00:11:22:33:44:55 -h 00:55:44:33:22:11 mon0

Sniffing host OS traffic via guest OS(BT4pre)

I'm running BT4 (guest OS) in vmware and would like to sniff all host traffic without poisoning. This should be fairly easy to setup but I'm having trouble figuring it out. Ettercap will work if I poison the host but surely this can be accomplished without poisoning the host.
If anyone can lend a hand, it would be appreciated.

Display works on Live-CD, but not when it's install to the HD

Hi,

Strange thing...
When i run the bt4-mod Live-CD the display fully works.
With 1280x800 full resolution at 60Hz and 256 Video RAM.
But after i have installed it to the HD and run it, I can't start X.

When I check witch driver is loaded while running the Live-CD it tells me it is VESA driver (generic)

I've tried replacing the /etc/X11/xorg.conf with /etc/X11/xorg.conf-vesa
With no result.

I also looked in the Live-CD /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. And it looks the same as the one i got on the HD.

Any one got a clue on what to do now?

When i run Xorg the display just draw the default screen with the mouse and just hang there. I can move the mouse thought.
Oh, yeah. I have no swap space ;) (irrelevant info i guess)

System Monitor for BT4

I remember seeing a screenshot of BT4 with a system monitor was wondering if anyone knew what it was, also remember it having RSS feeds also in the bar.

I was thinking maybe conky but it loks way better than it(no offense to conky users)

Identifying network shares

I wanted to get feedback on methods to identify network shares. I'm performing a pen-test for a health care organization. One of their main concerns is open shares with PHI. I've been using the following tools to identify Windows shares:
Shareenum
Legion

Shareenum uses administrative credentials to scan active directory for open shares. Legion scans IP addresses, and requires no creds. However, I need a comprehensive account of all their shares, with ntfs permissions too. Any suggestions?

On the *nix side, I've been running port scans for NFS (2049) and then created a script to showmount -e %i. I then parse through the results looking for "everyone". Any other approaches you can recommend? Thanks

For FTP, I port scan for port 21. Then, I put the IP list through nsat with the option to locate "anonymous".

I am trying to test the com on air type II card in my dect and i was following many tutorials but when i am trying to :

Hi !

I tried nearly every bluetooth tool shipped with BT4 and nearly all of them not working. Did i missed something ? Do i need to compile something somewhere before i can use any bluetooth tool ?

GRUB not working

I originally had windows xp home edition SP2 on my computer with 2 partitions. Windows and backup.

I bought a 320gb portable hardrive and made a new partition for BT4 (pre final).
I install all went well install grub rebooted to load and got an error. Error 21 to be precise.
Rebooted same problem.
I tried using XP fixmbr and fixboot, but neither worked.
Then I tried dd commands on BT4 still no luck
Then I reformatted the portable hardrive. Again no luck.

I am wondering if anyone can help me with this problem. I do not wish to reformat my drive with windows xp because its got all my settings and programs which took me a long time to get satisfactory.

I also wish to reinstall BT4 after but not with a dual boot. And not with grub.
I want to completely get rid of grub.

Maltego Nag Screen

Hey, this is my first post on the RE forums; I've searched the forums and Google for an answer, but I can't seem to figure this out. When I try to start Maltego, the nag screen comes up, but will not go away. There's nothing for me to click to close it. Everything I've read on Google says it's a 15 second nag screen, but I left it open overnight and it was still there. Another thing I read said to try and resize it to agree to the TOS, but I couldn't resize the nag screen. The nag screen being there prevents me from clicking anything in Maltego.

Any insight would be much appreciated.
