Panasonic Toughbook, Itronix GoBook, Dell XFR. The macbook pro's will dent and warp, there's no shock absorption built into them, so the displays will shatter as well. They will park the heads in a fall, but that's more of a drive function than anything anymore.

I got to use one of these GD Itronix laptops.
They are really nice extremely expensive. The model I got to mess around with was about $10,000 U.S. My project manager deliberately brought it out into the ran to work on it while was running and nothing happened to it. Probably a bit more than the average user needs. He said one could drop it and it would not damage it. But he didn't go that far. The rain was enough I suppose.

my IBM X40 have a really hard cover
i have drop my cup of tea over it for mistake
the cup of tea is gone in one thousand pieces but the notebook have no sign !!!
you can fin it on ebay for cheap price

is getting old but is the best laptopt i have is light and really hard

I used to have an older Itronix laptop. I've thrown it down the hallway once or twice to test it. No issues. I finally got rid of it when you couldn't get batteries for it anymore.

, any box is better than commadore or a zx spectrum :

spent all my teens hours in front of them coding was insane : )

i wanted a apple in them days :>

Hey hands off my ZX Spectrum!!! (i wonder can we make BT distro for it ...you know the lavish 48k RAM). Oh well .... I will always have a soft spot for that old gummy keyboard!
