Default How to: a) encrypt a bootable USB flash drive and b) set the pre-boot authentication

Hello folks,

I have a working USB flash drive (Sandisk Cruzer Micro 8 GB) that I took out the u3 encryption.

I used WinSetupFromUSB and NLITE to create a bootable, unattended, install of Windows XP SP3. This works perfectly.

My issue is that I would like to encrypt this USB flash drive so that once I choose to boot from it, it prompts me for a password, and then start the grub4dos/gldr boot loader and call on the menu.lst, and so on.

I tried using TrueCrypt, but I can't get it to work. I can't seem to find any sort of encryption method that would allow me to do so.

I suppose, as an alternative, I can buy a USB flash drive that has some sort of physical lock (like the Corsair Padlock) and call it a day, but figured I'd ask here first

Thank you
