The de-ice cd's password is part of the exercise.
There are tutorials and hints around but I strongly suggest you not look at them.
They will take all of the fun out of it plus you will not learn anything.
The first thing you can do it use netdiscover to find out the ip of the target.
It should be with level one 192.168.1.100 if it is not then it is a problem with vmware itself. Make sure it is by running netdiscover and looking for something along those lines.
Also you can use your bt machine and visit the website at http://192.168.1.100
this should get you started. Let me know if you get this far.

Hi, archangel. Just created a vm of di-ice level 1 but it asks for id and pw. one of their forums says that pw has 2 be hacked but how when i can t even get it on my vm lan. Anyways thanks for introducing to de-ice. Hoping to do some thing with it with a lil help from you. thanks
