make doesnt work--please help

i have downloaded driver for rt73
tar xvjf rt73-k2wrlz-3.0.3.tar.bz2
i opened it but when i run make it says
no such file or dir. stop.failed to build
but there is Makefile
what to do
?


p.s
also why in wiki instructions it says to open tar file this way
tar xvjf rt73-k2wrlz-3.0.3.tar.bz2
it didnt open it this way only with command
tar xvjf rt73-k2wrlz-3.0.3.tar

are you sure you're in the right directory? if there is a 'src' sub-folder try to go to there and try 'make'

remember
make
make install

are two different commands.
