New forum registration procedures

Sorry 'bout that, but five posts may be OK for a spammer who subcontracts dirty work to a manual spamhaus - but 15 posts is a bit more work, and by the levels of spam we get now, seems it's enough.

I'd rather not touch the level now that we're OK, and risk a flood like we had a few months back.

The new forum policy is working and spam is at a all time low. What I don't really understand is what in the hell is so important you feel the need to link us to it.I bet if I go back and look at my first 15 posts they all say "how in the f@%k do you......" and I can't remember having to link to any thing. So if the shamens suggestion does not suit you then may I suggest you visit the netstumbler forums were you will be treated with the utmost courtesy and respect.

I would like to congratulate the people here for the effort to date with this forum both the administrators and other member and also to say hello to every one here.

I must let you know my spelling suck but its consistent (lol spelln nazis).

The wait 15 days to post URLs gizmo just got me when I tried to reference pages that I tried to use in fixing my postgres issues, but I understand that the freak'n marketing movement has definitely moved into this Series of tubes with there bots, spammers, Et cetera Et cetera. But I got around this and IMHO its critical to reference all points that one has tried to fix the issue within forum posts as this aids other users as well. My 2 cents worth if your interested.

As the Newbie Area is the only place where someone can enter questions or comments it would be cool to have a new members area, a place where people can say hello and good job guys and hopefully gals another 2 cents.

A thread with links to most common issues would also be great you know a FAQ thats designed using the faq within this forum and not by 2 people say I wonder what some general questions might be and theres my last 2 cents worth.

Damn now i'm out of pocket by 5 cents. (rounded to the nearest common denominator)

After a spam shower that took place some days ago, new registered users will have a waiting period of 3 days before they can post new threads on any other forum than the Newbie Area.
