Default Changing the startup message

Is there anyway to change the message at startup that says

"The system is up and running now.

Login as "root", with password "toor", both without quotes, lowercase."

and so on... I have it installed on my hard disk and woudl like to change the message.

I highly recommend using the forum search feature...this exact question has been answered at least 2 or 3 times within the past month.

[klingon_on]i think he wants to add a motd to the gdm/kdm login manager.[klingon_off]

you can replace the "welcome blabla" text in the login window menu.

The idea is that I want to add an engine users, put examples of Gdm or KDM

kdm is KDE which come with BT and GDM is for Gnome which you can download and install.
