It's actually a lot easier than I though it would be. I haven't decided if I want to keep this one or use the dragon logo.

Posting this here because we don't need another EEE thread:

Buffalo solders up 32GB and 64GB SSDs for Eee PC

Those fine folks at Buffalo are working on 32GB and 64GB PCI-E SSDs for the Eee PC 901 (and others, we're guessing), to be released in September. That's all well and good, but what's even more exciting are the price points: 32GB will be retailing for around 16,800 yen (about $157 US) while the 64GB will go for 33,600 yen ($313 US). Sure, a storage device the same price as your computer is never ideal, but with SSD prices continuing to plummet -- as evidenced by this nearly-wallet-friendly pair -- they should be in striking distance before long.

Hi

great tute finally got BT3 on a SDHC card on my eeepc 1000H/XP with persitant changes

Some of my learnings ( may be useful to other 1000H/XP owners)

eeepc doesn't like all SDHC cards in particular didn't like my EagleTec 16GB (worked fine in a usb card reader but not the SD slot of the eee) finally got it working on a 4GB Kingston SDHC card.

SDHC card is mounted as sdc1 ( with usb stick connected being sdb1)

had to umount /mnt/sdc1 before fdisk otherwise would get errors when writing partition (similar to lanwarriors posts)

SDHC card mounts as sdb when bt3 booted of SDHC hence changes to syslinux.cfg were

changes=/dev/sdb2

also originally only had two folders in /mnt/sdb2 (changes and lost & found) the other two (xino and images ) were created after first boot of SDHC card

also used downloadable BT3 module for the eee from

hxxp://forums.remote-exploit.org/showthread.php?t=16340 (thanks to Hippocrates) -need to replace xx
although written for the 901 also works on the 1000.
loads appropriate drivers for graphics , LAN and WIFI cards ( monitor mode supported but not injection with current drivers)

and finally added the enhanced rt73 drivers

hxxp://forums.remote-exploit.org/showthread.php?t=15785 -need to replace xx
to support an external WUSB54GC usb wifi (for injection)

thanks again for al lthe above guides - one happy user
