Dinosaur_Eggs Did you ever find the problem for your install of Nessus? I have been trying to troubleshoot the same problem and same error all night.

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

--I am having the same issue, I have went thru the steps multiple times but cannot get to create the cert. or load the Daemon- Has anyone come up with the solution to this problem? any Assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'm sorry DD. Have not had time to troubleshoot. As soon as I get a chance I'll play around with it some more and post up results. Meanwhile, goodluck!

hmm, maybe add:
/opt/nessus/sbin
to your ld.so.conf file?
remember to run ldconfig after saving it.

I'm at a loss...

I'm still stuck also. It seems the Deamon doesn't even load properly. It's not anything to do with the cert.

Anybody have any other suggestions? I'm on a sinking ship....

Try ldconfig, not idconfig. Thats an L not I.
