That was a purely hypothetical....besides, I'll say anything when I'm drunk.

Beer and wife have the same shape..curvy in the middle, with big bottom..so maybe I need to rephrase my priorities?

Sure you can...as long as your throwing beer barrels at me and I have a tap for the keg and the wife.

Yes, I can imagine it can be really frustrating to help others and not to receive proper feedback of ones time and efforts

You are helping a lot of people, but the fact remains, that in any business it's really hard to get positive feedback (I'm not saying that it's OK, and shouldn't be addressed). I hope that all of you "Santa's Little Helpers" still have faith in the hard work you do and keep sharing the knowledge and "fruits of your passion" you obviously have

We really do appreciate it, however so few say it aloud.

Thank you everyone, those comments do make a difference.
But that is only part of it.
You see, when someone posts in the thread they got the help from saying thanks, or that worked great etc. Not only does it make the person feel that the effort was worth it and that people are using it, it also gives someone finding that info confidence in it.

Which are you more likely to have confidence in, post 1 which has no comments, or post 2 which says the same, and has 20 people saying thanks it worked great ?

I know which one I am more likely to follow, and I am sure it would be the same one as you would.

Thanks again guys.

And if having no replies at all, is he likely to continue contributing, when he thinks his thread was a total failure.. And that's bad for everyone..
IMHO it's just (or almost, depending on the answer) important to try than to give a perfect solution (answers are likely to be found based on failures). But that's perhaps a little off-topic.

Thumbs up

After reading this thread, I agree with you all - & I feel guilty not Publicy posting any gratitude.... I mainly owe -=Xploitz=- a huge thank you, I spoke to him a lot in PM - but B_P, reading a lot of stuff you posted has been also absorbed into my brain & I want to thank you for that, ...Shaman, theprez98, Baxter, purehate, I have also read a lot of your threads & posts & want to say a big thank you also for you too

None of us would be here if it wasnt for the team that keeps this forum alive, I have not wrote any tutorials, or videos but I can imagine it's like a kick in the nuts time after time, the amount of views & people not even having the common courtesy to say Thank You.

I'm still very new to all of this & You see the even newer n00b's asking the daftest questions & Some can be kinda abrupt, expecting answers straight away, without even thinking, "Yeah i should have googled that 1st"
