Default [Project] Wifi Satelite

So i saw a video on youtube about using a satellite dish for a wifi antena, and this is what ive come up with so far,

A base Tripod, Adjustable for height

Metal bar that comes out and spans into a T shape, for connecting the satellite dish to

The dish itself has been lined with aluminum foil because the dish itself was carbon fiber, not enough reflectivity for the signal, i used mod podge gloss-luster to glue it to the dish, you can use any type of glue you want it shouldnt matter as long as its strong enough to hold the alluminum foil onto it

the only part that i havent worked out is the directional antena to point at the dish from the little arm extension im in progress of making.

pics will be uploaded soon ^^;

(Replace the "XX" with "tt") - I dont have 15 posts yet so i am limited

Whole Thing

The "T" Bar

The only problem i have with it so far is the sheer SIZE of the frigging thing, but any feedback on how to make the correct angles and everything would be nice

Many thanks in advanced

You should just use the feed horn mount that it came with. It's in the proper location. I'm pretty sure these dishes have offset feed points.

Thanks for the advice, i should be getting another satellite later today thats a dish network, one of the smaller round ones with an actual base i know that with those ones you practicly have to point them at the ground, to make the wave on the horizon instead of pointing up into the sky, the one thing i was wondering though is if i should make the Biquad antenna instead of using the
can method that i saw here:
(once again replace the "XX" with "tt")

Hello everybody been lurking here for a while and finally decided to chime in on my project similar to yours.

Here is mine 32" 3axis stepper controlled. I have done years of reading into what the best feed is for a parabolic dish and i have come to the conclusion that a biquad feed is the best.
If there is anyone out there that would be willing to help me get some code up and working for this dish i would be verry excited to hear from you.

I have also read alot about propper distance for the feed from the dish for the desired frequency and am making a device that is stepper controlled to move the antenna feed to the desired focal point.
